This is a simple scrolling space shooter game written using nothing but the good ol’ Windows API. The game is called “Outerspace” (I’m bad at names 🙁 )
The whole game framework is coded so that its easy to implement any future enhancements to the game. Very light and portable code. Features are score system, simple enemies that shoots at you, random bonus drops from enemies, asteroids that tried to run into you at every chance they get and also explosions! Yes, lotsa explosions! Below are some screenshots of the game (click on them for a full sized version):
