I’ve been building systems for manufacturers since 2011. Started with a bespoke production system I wrote myself, moved through Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and ended up deep in Oracle EBS. These days it’s mostly order management, EDI integrations, and the problems that fall between teams until someone picks them up.
Outside of work
Generative AI. Started with ChatGPT, now mostly Claude. At some point I started training my own models at home. The electricity bill noticed.
Game development. I’ve been building multiplayer browser games, mostly to understand how how they work. Also a lifelong MMO player who usually plays healer.
Self-hosting. Home server, Docker, Cloudflare tunnels. “I could rent most of it for a fiver a month, but running it myself is how I learn.
New tools. I try most new tools within a week of release, but only carry on using a few.
